More...To say the New Orleans Saints have capitalized on good fortune for two consecutive weeks would be accurate, but it also vastly would be understating.
The New Orleans Saints took advantage of Philadelphia playing without it starting quarterback last week. What the Saints did in victories over Detroit and Philadelphia is what good teams do. New Orleans took two disadvantaged opponents - the Lions with a rookie quarterback, rookie head coach and 17-game losing streak that now has reached 19 games, and the Eagles without starting quarterback Donovan McNabb and with first-time starter Kevin Kolb - and caved in their resolve. The Saints smelled blood and didn't let up until they were forced to by an expiring game clock.
And there couldn't possibly be a better way for them to start a season.
