Saints Injury Report 9-29-16 (1 Viewer)

This could really be a scary team when they start getting healthy... We have an opportune bye week - if Breaux and Rankins come back strong a couple weeks after the Bye things could get interesting down the stretch.

Yep, they'll win a few games just to knock themselves out of the top 10 draft position..........

At least those present and practicing for the portion open to the press were there.

I can see them resting Armstead today and possibly all week and still playing him on Sunday if it's a swelling type injury that's keeping him off the field. Hill and Breaux I expected to still be out (Breaux will be for weeks) and Kelemete could bite us in the *** if he can't get right for Sunday. I don't think Lelito can kick outside as well he can.

All of those who were "present" for the open portion are needed. What does present mean though? What happened to limited, full participant, etc?

I just want to see Ellerbe on the field come Sunday. We've seen the difference between him playing and not.

I can see them letting Terron sit out until after the bye. Offensive line isnt our issue surprisingly. We need our defenders back so we can get a W. I hope Ellerbe can play

If our O-Line can sustain the good play, I can see letting Armstead sit out and recuperate until after the bye week. We need for our defense to heal up Vaccaro, Ellerbe & Laurinaitis. Hopefully by week nine we can get Rankins and Breaux back. But we need to healthy fast. Our offense is scoring more than enough points to win these games.

Yep. Just might happen. But not a single NFL team who's worth a **** cares about playing for draft position unless you've got the potential first overall pick to gain by losing in week 17.

Did Mauti even play last week? He has been pretty good when on the field. I don't remember seeing him play though

Nope. Not a single snap on defense.

I like everything I've seen from Mauti both last year and this year when his number is called.

With Ellerbe hopefully back this week and JL dinged up, Ellerbe, Robertson and Anthony might be the base starters with Mauti playing situational snaps.

Laurinaitis has never missed a game in his career - even last year when he was playing with one arm - so if he's sitting this week, it's gotta be a coaches' decision. He can count the number of snaps he's been off the field, not games.

With the way he's played thus far though, he deserves to be benched if whomever will take his spot can call the defense as effectively as he has. Regardless of his underwhelming play, he's the only reason we weren't blown out on D in the first two games (and even against Atlanta, considering the gifts we gave them). That reason being that he recognized the offensive formations from film study and realigned the defense accordingly. We can't take him off the field until someone who can match wits with him can get on the field in his place.

The Falcons slapped 45 points on the scoreboard WITH James L in the middle. Guys behind him surely can't do any worse.
