Oh dear, oh dear....:covri:

It just seems like such a reach....just get Rogers for a 3rd or 4th.

Interesting; he's an athletic specimen, but he's not proven enough to be someone to be thrilled about. At least they're taking this whole "defense" thing seriously. :hihi:

I heard countless people say that Kentwan Balmer is the most overrated prospect in the draft (as well as Keith Rivers).

The Packers are strongly considering trading DT Corey Williams, who was franchised earlier in the week.
Thats more interesting than Kentwan

Balmer's a darn good DT, but... I'm assuming, this means we're trading down then?

I know that everyone is scared of this guy being a one year wonder, but he is a ball player.

He has all the physical tools that the Saints need as a pass rushing DT.

I'd trade spots with Green Bay for Corey Williams.

As far as Balmer goes, my gut feeling is that its smokescreen. Last year we gave tons of attention to Tank Whatshisface from NC St at the Senior Bowl and nothing came of it. I just don't think Payton is the kind of coach to pick a guy like Balmer so high. That's just my instincts though. But honestly, if they were really in love with him would they make it known this early?

But Loomis has very little to do with talent evaluation. He's essentially a bridge between the business and football sides of things and manages the cap. He's just there to oversee things, but I believe Payton, Mueller, and Repriesh (sp) run things and unless there's some huge disagreement then Loomis stays out of football matters.
