BTW, little insight here:

The Fins are stockpiling picks, especially 2020, to make a move for a QB in the draft. In this case, Stephen Ross is pretty much willing to BUY a draft pick because the Fins wouldn't incur any dead money if he is just straight cut. He's willing to put up some $$ to offset whatever cap hit the new team takes on.

It's a little different way of doing what the Browns did with Osweiler a couple years ago.

I read that Ross is flat out obsessed with Tua Tagovailoa and in doing everything that he can to end up with him as their starter.

That tells me that Hendrickson does not enjoy the confidence of the coaching staff, or at least they are looking for an upgrade.

To be honest, I never really saw Hendrickson as a force or a pass rush specialist. He did contribute some in 2017, but that quickly fell off the rails. It's not surprising to see team still look for defensive ends.

I don’t believe it’s an knock on Davenport , just the win now mode.

Jordan will be 30 before the season starts he’s played 86% or more snaps in every season since he’s been in the league.

Rankins will be missing to start the season and maybe Omenyeta.

The Giants 07 Defense boasted JPP, Strahan and Umenyiora at DE in a 4-3 Defense the final tally had them at 9,10,13 sacks that’s with a Nt and DT that started every game and had good production 5.5 sacks and 1 from the NT

With 3 DEs Brown , Edwards until Rankins comes back and Omenyeta would fill a 6 man rotation perfectly

I also think it’s an Indicator that Jordan will be playing inside more this season as he did in his early years taking on that DL role playing all over the line
