49ers' Nolan fires two defensive aides

From staff, wire reports

Saints cornerback Mike McKenzie was involved in a four-car fender-bender in Metairie on Wednesday afternoon, but he was uninjured, Louisiana State Police said.

McKenzie, 30, was headed east on Airline Drive at Labarre Road about 1:40 p.m. when he was struck from behind by another vehicle, State Police spokesman Trooper Joseph Piglia said.

That caused a chain-reaction accident, in which McKenzie's vehicle struck the back of another vehicle, and that car smashed into a fourth vehicle.

Piglia said McKenzie was walking and talking after the accident, but he went to Ochsner Medical Center in Jefferson to be examined. McKenzie was being released from the hospital by the time the investigating trooper arrived at the hospital to take his statement, Piglia said.
