Neal McCready / Mobile Press-Register
New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton, general manager Mickey Loomis and most of the team's staff will be in Mobile for the first part of this week evaluating talent. It marks the first time in Payton's two-plus years on the job he's had that luxury.
Two seasons ago, he had just gotten the job and was trying to fill out a coaching staff. Last season, Payton didn't make the trip to Mobile in the immediate wake of the Saints' NFC Championship Game loss to the Chicago Bears. The Saints need defense first, so it wasn't surprising to see Payton and Co. at Ladd-Peebles Stadium Monday afternoon watching the North team practice. That squad is full of potential first-rounders on the defensive side of the ball.
"A lot of these guys, people have seen a lot of tape on," he said. "For a lot of the coaches, we've seen a little tape then we come here and begin the process." Full Story – Press-Registerhttp://www.al.com/sports/mobileregister/index.ssf?/base/sports/120099694878110.xml&coll=3
