New Orleans Starts Season 2-0; Heads To Buffalo Next

With Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb inactive, the Saints defense did enough to hold replacement Kevin Kolb and company in check while Drew Brees took advantage of Philadelphia's defensive lapses to lead his team to a 48-22 win.

The New Orleans offense picked up where it left off last week despite taking on a defense considered to be much better than that of the Detroit Lions.

The final score didn't reflect the competitive nature of the game early on. The Saints led just 17-13 at halftime.
