He made contact with official against Bears

Saints offensive tackle Jammal Brown was fined $25,000 by the NFL on Friday for impermissible contact with an official during the Saints' Week 17 loss at Chicago.

Brown made contact with line judge Darryl Lewis during a scuffle with some Bears defenders in the first quarter, in which he also took a swing at a Bears player. No penalty was called after the incident, but the fine was issued after the league reviewed tape of the game.

The fracas started after a Bears defender picked up an apparent fumble and started running with the ball. The whistle blew, signaling the play dead, but Brown shoved the defender to the ground, saying later that he thought the play was still going. Full Story – Picayune
