New Orleans Saints offensive tackle James Hurst went to sleep last Friday night as a backup offensive tackle who figured to get some work as a situational sixth offensive lineman that Sunday against the Denver Broncos.
Then All-Pro left tackle Terron Armstead learned Sunday of his positive COVID test, and with about 24 hours notice, Hurst realized he would be starting and protecting quarterback Taysom Hill’s blindside.
