New Orleans Saints and Pelicans owner Gayle Benson became the latest high-profile member of the professional sports community to condemn the actions of police officers that resulted in the death of George Floyd last week.
Benson opened her public statement Monday afternoon saying as much, but followed by saying the key takeaway was not the words, but the action to follow.
