More...The NFL schedule-makers did the Saints a favor by planning their trip to Buffalo for Week 3. But Mother Nature might not be so willing to cooperate.
The weather is always a factor in Western New York, where current forecasts are calling for temperatures in the mid-60s with a 40-50 percent chance of rain.
“Did I start watching the weather report in Buffalo from the time we got back home from Philly? Yes,” said Saints defensive coordinator Gregg Williams, who was the Bills’ head coach from 2001-2003. “That flag right outside my office window was starched for three years. Very, very seldom do you play in that stadium and there’s not wind. A lot of wind.” ...
...“Typically you would say wind and rain would affect the passing game, but it depends on what level,” Brees said. “I don’t watch (weather forecasts) early in the week, but as we get closer to the game, I do, especially if there’s some conditions that I want to start getting my mind right for.” ...
