The Saints are on another streak at midseason.
Last year, they won eight in a row on their way to claiming the NFC South and getting back to the playoffs after a four year absence. This year, they are up to six straight in defense of their division crown and looking like one of the most dominant teams in the National Football League after a 10 point win over the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday night.
Defense stepped up in a huge way, with new addition Eli Apple leading the team in tackles, P.J. Williams recovering from a bad night to record a pick six against Kirk Cousins, and the Saints forcing a fumble that turned into one of Alvin Kamara’s two touchdowns in a 30-20 win for the reigning NFC South champions on Sunday night.
The Saints finally got some long awaited revenge on the team that dramatically bounced them from the playoffs last year and in the same building.
