Interesting move. I guess Josh Hill is good to go. But I really like Lampman. Good physical receiver who can block. Well at least from the highlights. But he never gotten the reps in preseason to show what he can do. But I guess the coaching staff like what they see in him to put him on the active roster.
 
Yeah I see no logistical reason for this other than some other team was trying to poach him.
 
A quick refresher on Lampman the potential is definitely there.

Had he attended the NFL Combine, Lampman would have tied the NFL record for most bench press reps with 27. At 6'0", 205 he turned in a 4.47 second 40-yard dash at Michigan Pro Day. He also had a 39-inch vertical and 10-foot-2 broad jump.
 
Jake knows how to catch the rock... but he an also kick arse! :evilgrin:

Quite impressive video clip. But is his technique "NFL ready"?. I saw some plays that would cause a penalty in today's NFL.
