New Orleans Saints running back Mark Ingram did not practice Thursday because of an illness.

In the event Ingram is not available for Week 6, the Saints would likely turn to running back Tim Hightower to start.

Ingram was among six players to not get in work ahead of Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers, joining left tackle Terron Armstead (knee), linebacker Dannell Ellerbe (quad), defensive end Paul Kruger (back), cornerback Delvin Breaux and safety Erik Harris.
