$80,000 is the maximum signing bonus for a veteran minimum salary benefit deal, which will cut his cap hit almost in half.

Glad we did. He was a beast for us and for once we didn't have issues at the FB position.

Great signing. With all the dead money starting to come off the books, we can afford to splurge on a slightly more expensive veteran at a relatively cheap position like fullback.

You know, for all the missed swings the Saints had in FA the last few seasons.........they nailed it with this guy.

This also means when Hooman comes back next season he can stay at TE to block instead of switching back and forth as a hybrid FB/TE. Our run game next season will be great.

This is a good move for us. Kuhn did a great job last season and I think it makes sense for both sides.

I was actually wondering about this. Specifically, I wondered if he enjoyed playing here after playing in Green Bay. He seems a practical fellow and that he has chosen to re-sign is an indicator for me that he feels this team can accomplish good things.

Signing him was one of the least heralded moves of 2016, but he was money on short yard situations and part of why our running game was much better last year.
