New Orleans, LA (Sports Network) - The New Orleans Saints re-signed guard Jamar Nesbit, center Jonathan Goodwin and wide receiver Terrance Copper on the eve of the NFL free agency period Wednesday.

Nesbit, the Saints' starter at left guard the past two seasons. is a veteran of nine NFL seasons. He has played in 133 career regular-season games and started 87 in his career.

Goodwin has played in 87 career games, including 15 starts over the course of his six-year career, the last two with the Saints. In 2007, Goodwin appeared in 13 games and made two starts at center when Jeff Faine was on the shelf with a chest injury.
