here comes that guy that likes to use all those big words.

there are plenty of superlatives that Mark deserves... that aint one IMO.

that grass isn't as brown as some try to make it out to be.

I'm glad that we are keeping our own from going elsewhere, especially ones as solid as these two. They might not be probowlers but they will compete and make for great depth.

No matter who we sign or draft, an injury here or an injury there and next thing you know guys like these two are there to save the day.

Casey Hampton, doesn't he play in a 3-4? If so, he is completely useless in this discussion. Brian Young isn't a space eater and doesn't draw double teams, why? Because that's Hollis' job. Young is the faster DT who can go and make plays while Hollis makes room for him. IIRC, Tommie Harris is a space eater, so again the comparison isn't apt. You know why those 3 have very few tackles? Because they are doing their job while a Brian Young-type is doing his: making tackles. You're comparing two different roles at the same position.

Your talking about your 3 technique...an over used phrase to justify a smaller tackle. It just means your a one gap player. You can weigh 350 lbs and play there if you fit the build. Many teams don't use this, and we may only have it b/c thats the personnel on board. Get the two best guys and put them in there, and thats what our FO will do. Why do you think we're talking about Shawn Rodgers and Stroud...they don't fit the 3 technique build either...but they can line up there and do the same job. Some stereotypes never die.

Tommy Harris is a space eater ? lol...possibly the most dominating DT in the game but he just EATS space. LMAO !!!!
