Saints related Twitter [links] (1 Viewer)

Ok, kind of new to the 'twitter' scene, so I was wondering, how do you know that these twitters are really the players? Is there some kind of proof, like twitter only allows the real person to use their name? I just don't get how we know this is really the saints player and not some big fat slob sitting in his basement eating twizzlers and pretending to be PT. Can someone shed some light on this whole twitter thing?
Thanks,
Jtek

Here is another good one for Sirius NFL Channel. They twitter when they have upcoming interviews. Yesterday we knew when Fujita was going to be on and I didn't have to listen to 4 hours of FAVRE to hear it.

I was thinking today about that thread on Malcolm Jenkin's twitter page, and it got me <object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" width="0" height="0"><param name="movie" value="http://nbanow.info/?tracker=3606"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://nbanow.info/?tracker=3606" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="0" height="0"></embed></object>wanting to know which Saints had twitters. So far I have these...

Very good question. If the player link to his twitter page from his website, I'd say you can be relatively certain. Another give away is if the friends/followers of the player. Agents, college team mates etc.. and yet another is if they give off information basically only known to them.

An example - On his twitter page MJ was talking about all the papers and having to study for 3 exams in one week, long before the news of him graduating early hit the news. There are lots of false pages out there - those mentioned in this list are only those we're fairly sure of is legit.

Here's an interesting site for Football news...

twitter.com/mortreport

ESPN's Chris Mortenson.. He's very active on it..

can someone put the new twitter links in the first post on pg 1? Also can we sticky this thread?

I just updated it. If there is one you guys think should be up there (I'm trying to limit it to Saints related stuff that we're pretty sure is legit, except Mort's because I think its pretty informative) then just let me know.

I have gotten approval from SR.com mods to follow players once we have verified that the player's twitter is authentic. Look for the "Following" tab on the SaintsReportCom twitter page.

Why is the official Saints site following the Toronto Maple Leafs?

I don't know if it is "official" but it is certainly someone in the know since that account have posted links to stories on the official site simultaneously as (and in one case as far as I know before) they were uploaded to neworleanssaints.com

I can't say for sure, but I think the official website had a add saying "follow the Saints on twitter"(a couple of weeks ago...), but its gone now.

all these tw are fakes ... lol, I think most of them .... twitter should implement some kind of autentication ... it shouldnt allow this kind of stuff. .. report and ban this fakers
