It makes a ton of sense. Huge cap number for a punter and we kept Gilliken on for a reason.

Yeah makes sense. Hate to see The Leg go but last season he wasn't booming them like he used to. And with our cap situation I don't guess having the NFL's highest paid Punter makes sense.

This is actually more probable than Drew retiring. The writing was on the wall when the Saints stashed the rookie punter on IR this season.

June 1st designation seems like it would harm a players employment possibilities, unless they are allowed to still negotiate with other teams.
