Morestead is a HOFer.

I believe he'll get HOF consideration down the road. His numbers don't lie and he's been consistent throughout.

I remember the days when every season brought about a new punter who inevitably stank up the joint. You don’t really realize how important the position is until you see terrible punting.

Morstead ended all that. Not just a reliable punter, but an excellent one. For 12 seasons we haven’t had to worry about the position. He’s the gold standard. He was so good I took it for granted. I wish him nothing but the best and will miss the Leg.

i have to imagine the team let him know this was going to happened in case he wanted to retire and he was like, 'nah, i'm going the Crash Davis route'

Morestead had a great run, and his place in Saints history is cemented. He was a great punter and he pulled off “Ambush”

I wish him nothing but the best moving forward. He’s the only punter that I can honestly say I was a “fan” of.

This move was coming though, and it was inevitable.
