This is pretty breaking news, isn't it? Did I miss something, because this is the first that I have heard of this.

Yeah, I hadn't seen it at all? I guess he knew?

Saw the Simmons cut coming the moment the season ended. Just a matter of time.

Sad to leave NOLA to AZ; going into ministry

Both are smart moves.

On top of that, Vilma now gets #51 with the Black and Gold.

Hope he plays lights-out like #51 with the Dome Patrol (Mills).

Simmons - that was the big excitement of free agency last year. I guess nothing changes.

I'm glad we have Stecker back. So what if he's the 3 or 4 option at halfback - a team could do 100x worse than that. :17:

Why did we even sign Simmons in the first place? Did he ever have a chance of starting?

I got a chance to know Brian over the last year and think I know why this was done. He started for 9 years in Cinci and proved to be solid starter, in fact he was one of the best coverage linebackers in the pass happy AFC. He and I both feel as if he was very underused and that fact put him at odds with the coaches. I personally hope Brian finds a team who can utliize his talents and hopefully that team isnt on our schedule next season.

Well Brian I hear the Jets are in the market for a solid LB.

Good luck #51.
