No the tender is his contract, 1-year 4.6 mil. Unless someone offers him more and we want to match it. Otherwise he walks for more and we get a 1st rounder.

It says on Saintswire.com. 4.6 mil is what he is scheduled to play for in 2020. Unless someone puts the 1st round pick up etc

Not sure what you mean by "need to". We could give him a full contract but he's on the team under a 1st round tender atm. If anything I would hope a full contract reduces his 2020 hit.

It likely that it would.

overthecap.com has Hill down for a $4.6M cap hit for 2020 but it also has the team over the cap by $7M... and yes, I know that the recent re-structures are not yet included in that calculation (but Drew's new contract is).
