Per Walter Football:

"One team to keep an eye on for a landing spot for Barnett is the New Orleans Saints. Some league sources have compared Barnett to Saints defensive end Cam Jordan, and New Orleans could use another edge rusher to go with Jordan. Hau'oli Kikaha is coming off a season-ending injury, and adding another rusher would give the Saints a trio to rotate. Sources with the Saints say their first-round pick might come down to the best available player at edge rusher or cover corner. Our New Orleans Saints Team Needs page is available here."

Team Needs:
Two Linebackers: The Saints had some of the weakest linebackers in the NFL, so it could be argued that this is their biggest need. James Laurinaitis was playing for them last year, for crying out loud. Reuben Foster is a viable candidate for the team at No. 11 overall.

Defensive Tackle: New Orleans has a nice building block up front with Sheldon Rankins. Nick Fairley was another forceful presence in the interior of the defensive line, but he'll be entering free agency come March. The front office needs to address this area.

Defensive End: Cameron Jordan was exceptional this past season, performing on an All-Pro level. However, the Saints don't have much besides him as far as edge rushers are concerned, so they need to bring in someone new to get after opposing passers.

Cornerback: The good news is that the Saints will be getting Delvin Breaux and P.J. Williams back from injury next year (Breaux played occasionally in 2016, but was banged up because of his various maladies). The bad news is that cornerback is yet another defensive position that should be addressed.

Two Guards: The one upgrade New Orleans could use on the offensive line is at one of the guard spots where Senio Kelemte was pretty pedestrian in 2016. Jahri Evans will need to be re-signed as well.

Tight End: Coby Fleener was a predictable bust signing. The Saints should just acknowledge him as a sunk cost and move on with a new tight end.

Backup Quarterback: Drew Brees is now 38, so the Saints should think about finding a successor for him.

Running Back Depth: Mark Ingram had his ups and downs in 2016, but the Saints could rely on Tim Hightower as a sturdy No. 2. Hightower is now a free agent.

Well it has started.

They are saying that Barnnett is limited athletically but Cam Jordan is one of the best athletes on the team. Comparison must be that he's an all around player though i think Barnett has much better ability to bend than Cam Jordan ever had/has.

If there is a single LSU player who would probably have benefited from returning for their senior season with the arrival of Canada in BR, it's Dural. He'll have to blow up the combine to become a second day pick if what I read up until now is accurate.

EDIT: I was thinking about Malachi Dupre. Dural is a senior. Dupre was reported to have signed up for the draft before the bowl game but that was news to him. He said in an interview that he was only focusing on the bowl game and would worry about the draft after that. Never heard anything since...

This paints a very negative view of the team making it seem like we have a ton of holes when It's not even close to being as bad as it seems.
Two guards? Two linebackers? Move on from Fleener? What.

We need Robertson at WLB and let him and Ellerbe battle it out. We'll be fine with whoever wins as they are both very capable. MLB is the problem. Get Anthony a LB coach or get AJ Klein and a draft pick. Kelemete wasn't starting at Guard at all so I'm not sure what they're talking about. Peat is locked in at LG. Hard to have a ton of production at TE when you nearly have 3 1000 yard receivers. We have holes but if we weren't down 7 corners and maybe 10+ secondary players overall we wouldn't have been in this situation. The only holes that I think are absolutely gaping are at MLB, RG, and Edge Rusher. Several others could use potential upgrades though.

WalterFootball has had the same "I can't believe the Saints signed Laurinitis" comment whenever we take a linebacker in their mocks since September. Never different. Never mentions anything about the player, just a shot at us for a signing he didn't like.

And he didn't like the Fleener signing either.

Sorry but Barnett reminds me a lot like Will Smith. If im picking #11 no way i pass up on Solo Thomas. The guy is a force. Not that i dnt like Barnett (He is good too) but Solo is just a manchild in the trenches.

Round 1...Solo Thomas or Rueben Foster
