Schedule features 3 national TV games, plus clash in London

Sheldon Mickles / Baton Rouge Advocate

For the second straight year, the New Orleans Saints will be in the national spotlight several times during the 2008 season — with three primetime games highlighting the regular-season schedule released Wednesday.

The Saints, who are coming off a 7-9 season, will play two of the primetime games in the Superdome on ESPN’s Monday Night Football — facing the Minnesota Vikings on Oct. 6 and Green Bay Packers on Nov. 24.

Sean Payton’s team will also battle the Chicago Bears, the team that defeated the Saints in the NFC Championship Game in 2006, in a late-season Thursday night contest at Soldier Field. The Dec. 11 game will be televised by the NFL Network. Full Story – Advocate
