NEW ORLEANS – When Matt Rhule took over as Carolina Panthers head coach in the offseason, he followed the blueprint for success of the New Orleans Saints.

He hired Joe Brady to be his offensive coordinator and signed Teddy Bridgewater as a free agent to run Brady’s offense.

Brady had cut his NFL coaching teeth as an offensive assistant under Saints coach Sean Payton for two seasons before becoming LSU’s passing game coordinator and helping the Tigers win the CFP championship last season.
