Saints sign Will Clapp (1 Viewer)

Seeing as we haven’t announced any corresponding cap saving moves, I assume he isn’t a top 51 contract

Never knew Clapp was a free agent

Yeah he was a RFA that wasn't tendered, so he became a FA. The only outstanding Saints FA's left are:
WR- Bennie Fowler
LB- Craig Robertson
CB- Ken Crawley
CB- Johnson Bademosi
S- D.J. Swearinger
And I believe that re-signing Clapp was a very good move.

Of these above, I would like D.J.Swearinger to come back, and become a small success at the S position! I also wonder if our new secondary can work his magic with Crawley.

Yes im a big fan of Clapp. Surprised Saints didn't take care of him earlier. I thought at the very least Saints re-signed him quickly once FA started

I would like to see Crawley and Fowler back at cheap, incentive based contracts.

Crawley had some moments and could be serviceable.

Fowler has a shoulder injury, but he has great vertical speed and we need some vet exp...he could be a Sanders-lite.
