Saints still have "slight" chance of wild card berth (1 Viewer)

I would hope with the right amount of luck they could climb to #4 in the draft next year. They would not get past the first round of the playoffs. They need a high draft pick to either select a QB or use it in a trade for an experienced QB.

Looking at the teams ahead of us and the tie breakers, IF (and it's a big 'if' the way we've played the last 5 games) we win against Jets, Dolphins, Panthers and Falcons and finish at 9-8

-Falcons don't matter, we have the tiebreaker with the division record (3-3 vs 2-4) no matter if they win all their other games
-Panthers need to lose 1 other game (Falcons, Bills, Bucs X 2). Very good chance it happens
-Vikings need to lose 2 games (Steelers, Bears X 2, Rams, Packers). Good chance it happens, I see them losing the rematch vs Packers and probably Rams. They're without Cook and also just lost Thielen to an high ankle injury.

-Eagles need to lose 2 games (WFT X 2, Giants, Cowboys). Okayish chance it happens, all division games
-WFT need to lose 2 games (Cowboys X 2, Eagles X 2, Giants). Good chance it happens, all division games
-49ers need to lose 2 games (Bengals, Falcons, Titans, Texans, Rams). Good chance it happens, only Texans really is a gimme

That's for the last 2 spots so we could still get in if 1 of the above doesn't happen. Winning out (including a sweep of the Bucs) would put us in the wild card almost 100%.

All of this doesn't matter if we keep getting injured and play like we did for the past month but... 🤷‍♂️

Who knows, maybe we start getting some players back and go on a run
