You know he must be good. He made Marcus Davenport a star in his one year at UTSA In 2017.

I had that thought also. But then it occurred to me that MAYBE the Saints are finally embracing the draft to restock the roster? These college coaches will be an extension of the scouting department for the next 2-4 years, with regards to draft prospects; and someone will need to coach these draft picks once selected. The super late coaching hire is probably why the Saints felt they had to poach LSU because all of the good DLine coaches are taken. It’s also why we’re hiring so many college coaches in general, imo.
I agree.....it is a darn good hire for the Saints. I also like the youth movement. I do however...give a big sheet about LSU! Love LSU and want them to succeed and do well every year. There are more LSU fans on here than you think! They just don't talk about LSU. LSU has it's own tab.Good hire for the Saints. Don’t care about LSU as I really believe most Saints fans feel the same way. There’s a small faction of LSU Saints fans, but most of us only care about the Saints when it comes to football. I do like the fact that the staff is getting younger And hopefully that corresponds with the roster becoming younger as well.
Agreed!I'm an LSU alum, it it is a big loss for the Tigers, but BK has to figure it out. I love the signing as a Saints fan.
I can see that too and thought of that. But the new college coach’s intel will expire pretty quickly, for that to be the main reason. It seems Staley is wanting to run a strong Sec type D. Hence aquiring Bo Davis from LSU and the Texas CB coach Joseph and potentially Florida secondary coach Will Harris.I had that thought also. I think this could be a sign that the current staff of CKM is all-in on player development, especially younger draft picks. I HOPE that's what it foreshadows...
Nevermind that LSU won a national title in 2019 for LSU fans. The state of Louisiana is primarily LSU and Saints fans. Can't say that for those transplants or Saints fans from other states. Not to get into a LSU Vs Saints argument, but the worst thing to happen to LSU was XLIV.
That Super Bowl has overshadowed everything LSU has ever done.
Recruiting is such a draining job.
Crazy... He was getting paid like 1.5 million.. I wonder if he becomes the highest paid position group in the NFL.
Agreed, Louisiana people are sports fans. We’re even watching LSU gymnastics for goodness sakes. Not to mention LSU baseball. And LSU woman’s Basketball. We’d be watching UNO and Tulane as well if they were any good. The above is the true heart of a Louisiana person. Those that disagree are transplants.Nevermind that LSU won a national title in 2019 for LSU fans. The state of Louisiana is primarily LSU and Saints fans. The time off just seems really attractive in the off season. The college grind is becoming unsustainable with NIL becoming a 24/7 gig.I wonder if more college coaches are considering moving to the NFL because of NIL. Especially guys like Bo Davis who are recruiters. Recruiting no longer so much about creating relationships with kids and mentoring them. It's about how much NIL money they want and how much you can get them. If you're a coach who liked building relationships with players, it might not be as attractive a job as it once was. Not to mention the portal where guys just constantly move.
At this point there isn't as much difference between coaching in college and coaching in the NFL.
Thank you sir. Appreciate you.Agreed, Louisiana people are sports fans. We’re even watching LSU gymnastics for goodness sakes. Not to mention LSU baseball. And LSU woman’s Basketball. I see no correlation in those two things. I see only happy Louisiana fans. My brother for example said he’s good for life when it comes to La sports. He got to see LSU go undefeated and win a Natty, literally the best college football team in the history of mankind. (Look how many top ten teams LSU smoked that year). And he got to see the Saints win a Super Bowl! There’s no overshadowing, just good fortune in a decade time frame. Not to get into a LSU Vs Saints argument, but the worst thing to happen to LSU was XLIV.
