Saints trading up a smokescreen? (1 Viewer)

makes sense that we are looking @ DT in the First round

the two teams involved seem to the Rams @ 2 -for Dorsey
And The Pattys @ 7 - for Ellis

right?

It's a deep class, but it doesn't seem like many defensive stars will come from this draft. Long, Dorsey and Ellis are the only the separate themselves from the pack. We will have to see how the draft starts to unfold before we see any trades.

I don't think it's a complete smokescreen, I think the Saints are exploring their options and allowing things to get out because it only benefits them if it does. It may push Atlanta to trade up when they don't need to.

And if they get a good trade offer, then they can take it. It's probably due diligence with a side of smokescreen.

That's quite a statement. So you're saying that Laws, Balmer, Moore are all going to be busts and a waste of a pick?

No, he's saying the opposite of what you are saying.

He's saying that Balmer, Laws, etc ARE worth drafting. Which is why we shouldn't give up the farm for Dorsey or Ellis, because there are OTHER DTs worth picking.

I think you misunderstood.
