Inclement weather reared its head on the second day of the Saints training camp.
A little more than an hour into practice, nearby lightning activity in Metairie forced the Saints to move from outside to the indoor facility, where the remaining workout was closed to the public. Media is restricted from live tweeting or reporting whenever a practice isn’t open to the public.
Before moving indoors, the Saints mostly worked on the running game during 11-on-11 drills with the starting and backup units. Passing drills commanded center stage once the team moved indoors for the final hour of practice.
Overall, the Saints put in a good final session before the pads come on Sunday, marking the first of 15 padded workouts of training camp.
