National coverage has been nil. It's shameful. Glad you're okay.

There's been coverage, but it's being buried by the Olympics and the presidential race. I would say the national media is not as "enthusiastic" towards this disaster as they have been towards other disasters in the past.

Only because of the power of prayer, that's the only way I can explain it. Yes, it's bad. Everything around us flooded. I am still in shock. It's like living through Katrina all over again.
Except the national news coverage is non-existent. My heart is just broken.

Red, I'm very happy you're ok but I agree, watching this is heartbreaking. It's like re living K all over again. There are SO MANY PEOPLE who not only lost their homes and had no insurance but now have NO JOBS due to their employers being wiped out and having no insurance.

We are a very giving and compassionate fan base.....I urge everyone to do whatever they can to help these folks. There is nothing too small. It doesn't have to be money....time, emotional support etc ALL count.

Prayers NEVER hurt either.
