Ferocious pat a cake drills on the far side of the field. O line v O line. Kind of a war of attrition.

I'll be there!

Tuesday is Microsoft patch day.

I'd really like to see the running game improve overall. It was disappointing last week.

How you got neg repped idk know but... looks like you said the exact same thing SP articulated in two separate quotes below. :idunno: He didn't specifically say disappointing but when you've talked about improving the run game and you go out there and run for under 4.0 ypc.......I think the correct feeling would be disappointment.

I thought the game we just played was a perfect example. Oftentimes, you get on the bus, go down the column, look at third down, red zone, and a handful of numbers. You think, ‘How did this team lose?’ To me, you look at the penalty differential. I think it was nine and 14—we’re just taking the gross. But, when you look at four turnovers and, I’d say, the rushing numbers— those were the two that, if I gave you those, then you would say, ‘Well that makes sense. I understand how the home team won.

Sean Payton talks about signing Cortland Finnegan

When you think about what you said about the run game last Thursday against New England, what have you seen in practice this week that would lend you to believe that you’re into tweaking and fixing some of those things?

“There’s a lot of fundamental work in regards to the technique. It’s obviously the time of the year where you have full pads, you’re working on the sledge, and working combination blocks. I think, regardless of this work during the week, you are cleaning up some of the fundamentals but you also want to see improvement in the next opportunity with the next opponent. It will be another pretty salty front (in Houston). These guys have historically defended the run well. But we’ve had some good periods. We’ll continue. Tomorrow will be a little bit more goal line. We’ll get that introduced and keep going.”

Sean Payton: 'You

I was wondering that too lol. Who doesn't want the running game to be better? I want the whole offensive line to play better and be able to run the ball effectively on early downs. I'm not sure how 0/3 people find that helpful

this game would be a great game to do just that. Coach said he wanted to put an emphasis on winning so last game he knew we had to pass more to try to win. this team runs the ball more so we can work on the ground game and still have a chance to win.

What I'm hoping to see tomorrow is if we can avoid making the kind of mistakes that give up long 40+ yard plays, like the Vonn Bell bad angle. I thought we definitely improved in this aspect against the patriots compared to last season but still too many given up.
