Hyperbole much? JW2 has been QB1 for the Saints since the 2nd preseason game in last year's camp. Dude started 7 games for the team last year winning 5 of them.
This is year 3 for him in the system. It's not like he's a free agent coming from elsewhere suddenly being bestowed QB1 status for the Saints.

To be fair, this would be his first camp as QB1 whereas last year was the QB battle...and then only 7 games as QB1. That's really not a whole lot, even with the year of mental reps from the bench.Those QB1 reps are extremely important, especially with all the new/returning guys. I think thats the emphasis Spud and I were trying to express. Nothing more...

When Cam retires they need to immediately hire him to work as a defensive coach.

Considering Cam never gets injured, I'd like to see him as a trainer.
