No, you can call it a comeback if you want. You can call it whatever you need to but Trey Hendrickson is letting the Saints know he’s not going to be counted out.
I’ll definitely admit it here, Trey Hendrickson had been left for dead coming into this season. The Saints defensive end, part of the epic 2017 NFL Draft class, is someone we had written off heading into this season. I would love to think all the negatives we’ve written got him so mad that it lit a fire under him. But for guys at the NFL level, they’ve spent a lifetime finding their own motivations.
We’ve gone so far as to hold up Trey Hendrickson as a cautionary tale. The point we’ve made that NCAA lists and awards have little to do with pro success with Hendrickson having finished at 24th all-time on the college sack leader list. While that lesson should still be given heed, Hau’oli Kikaha, ahem, there is also something to be said about being so determined to succeed that you can overcome limitations. ...
