New Orleans Saints running back Mark Ingram found himself on the bench after losing a fumble – the second in as many weeks – in the first quarter against the Seattle Seahawks was returned for a touchdown.
With Ingram watching from the sidelines, the Saints' running game appeared to be in trouble the rest of the way against a physical Seahawks defense that entered the game ranked fifth against the run (84.2 yards allowed per game).
It is a good thing backup running Tim Hightower picked a good week to produce the Saints' first 100-yard effort, pounding out 102 tough yards on 26 carries in the Saints' 25-20 win over the Seahawks.
