Up the ante Gayle, go play in San Antonio. The city can’t keep you safe, and it’s anti-freedom anti-business stance shows it really does not appreciate the significant revenue and Super Bowls you continue to deliver.

I’d have no problem if Gayle wanted to talk to Jefferson or St Tammany parish about a new stadium.

I would love for fans to be in the dome, but let's look at this reasonably. Here is where I side with the mayor and where I have a problem
1) making a single exception for the saints would be a slap in the face for other businesses still not allowed to operate
2) if I am correct, the benchmarks set by JBE were mininum thresholds and not a mandate. The mayor and city council have every right to make stricter guidelines

Now here is where I feel she is wrong.
If she isn't going to use the guidelines set by JBE, she owes it to her constituents (and the state since she is begging for more funds under the guise of being the flagship city of the state) to let the public know what her guidelines are for opening more and what those guidelines are based on. To my knowledge, she has not done that. If I am wrong, please direct me to it as I can't find it....and I don't mean generalities I mean hard numbers

Grown adults should have choice to attend game if they want. Especially considering people who have no choice are forced to go to school.
While I do agree, I also think if we are worried about spreading COVID then it’s bigger than just the individual want.

Greater good > individual want

I don't know why people can't understand that it's not the game that's the issue. It's the places those that attend the game will go to after the game thus exposing people who didn't want to risk it. It's not the end of the world people. Geesh.

Pro Football Talk is now reporting on the quarrel between Mayor Cantrell and the Saints. I don't think Mrs. Gayle Benson would move the team out of the city. For that, we are lucky. Can't say that about other NFL owners. Another poster on Sainstsreport said to wait and see if Mayor Cantrell denies Pelican's fans to attend the games in January. Mardi Gras will be next, French Quarter Fest, then Jazz Fest, then, and so on and so on... .

According to the CDC's own data and admission, we fell below the threshold of a pandemic more than two months ago. This national fear-bubble we're submerged in is being abetted by the liberal media and the radical elements in the CDC and WHO. The pandemic is over, let's get on with our lives, healthy people below 75 have virtually nothing to fear.

This is a complex situation, but I've been able to boil it down to this:

Side 1: "I want more money!"
Side 2: "I want more money!"

Kinda like how the City of New Orleans as a whole would benefit from businesses and events being allowed to operate with proper protocols being enforced while Comrade Cantrelle stands there stomping her feet about wanting more federal funding for her to then mismanage?

Greater good > individual want

Right?
