In a twist of fate, Watson will make more than $700,000 more than what starter Jimmy Graham does in total cash this year. According to numbers obtained by ESPN.com, Watson will earn $2.15 million this season, while Graham will make $1.323 million in 2013.

Anyone else out there thinking about a possible holdout by Graham if he doesn’t get an extension (and a big raise) of a rookie contract he clearly has outplayed?

for now, im sure that will change next year. captain obvious Pat Y in the house!

I think Matt Moore will make more this year than Ryan Tannehill. So.. yeah.

Not a big deal... Is the normal dance of contracts, JG is still on his initial contract, so it would make sense the Watson would make more this year. Graham, once he receives his new contract will be paid more than Watson. No need to get all in a huff!

He doesn't strike me as the type to hold out. I remember how humble he was his rookie year. I expect him to bide his time but who knows, millions of dollars has the potential to change people.

yea look at Russel Wilson and the QB from LSU in seattle, same thing

I don't Jimmy mind one bit. After this he can decide if he wants to be the highest paid TE of all time if he so wishes from us are else where with no problem

At least Watson's contract numbers are coming through so the cap can be current and more transparent for us cap watchers.

Graham just hasn't gotten paid YET....Graham will be a $7-9mill a year guy by seasons end.

I like Jimmy, but Jimmy drops a lot of balls, which I'm sure he will improve on. Ben doesn't drop many balls and has a great resume, and Jimmy is building one himself. Jimmy will get there. While Ben has moved around a lot, he is still young and has produced everywhere he's gone, even with mediocre quarterbacks. Ben could also start for a lot of teams, as a matter of fact, mostly any team. I personally appreciate having someone who can be a mentor, and also still produce A LOT. I'd take either one any day.

Graham should get extended before the season starts. With what money? You got me
