Notes and observations from Tuesday's minicamp practice.
Absent from practice: DE Trey Hendrickson, DE Cam Jordan (birth of child) and WR Michael Thomas were not spotted.
Recovery crew: OL Andrus Peat, DE Alex Okafor, WR Tre’Quan Smith and WR Cam Meredith and tight end Deon Yelder were all present but limited in some form or fashion. Meredith and Okafor both took part in the walkthrough.
One-on-one highlights: We finally got to watch some one-on-ones between the wide receivers and cornerbacks. It didn’t disappoint. Here are some highlights:
--Tommylee Lewis continues to be a standout performer in these drills, which isn’t new to this season. He had a couple of decisive wins, beating Ken Crawley on a curl and then on an in-breaking route. He later won on a crossing route against P.J. Williams.
“One-on-ones, it’s an offensive game,” Crawley said. “It works on your technique, too.”
-- Williams had a few nice wins in coverage. He beat Travin Dural on a corner route and then again by batting down a back-shoulder throw.
--Wide receivers Eldridge Massington (go route) and Paul Turner (stop and go) both had wins that were met with bad passes. Turner won another route but dropped a back-shoulder throw.
