Saints won't return to Greenbrier for training camp [MERGED] (1 Viewer)

I'd be willing to bet, in some small way, the decision to not return is because we might be chose for Hard Knocks. I don't think they want the country to see how cushy the players have had it the past few seasons.

Doubtful. The Greenbrier is home to the new spring football league, the owner is now the state's governor with much bigger problems to deal with, and the contract has expired. And there was nothing "cushy" about camp other than the weather conditions.

No coincidence we've been stuck in 7-9 hell ever since holding training camp there. We're pretty much assured a winning record this season.

never liked the idea of holding training camp at a luxurious resort. A place can either have a vibe that promotes relaxation, or a vibe that promotes pushing yourself to the limit with hard work. Those two energies do not co-exist. Even though Greenbrier has nice facilities it seems designed for the former type of energy rather than the latter.

Either return to Metairie, where there's a taxpayer-funded practice facility (where they'd return home from camp anyway), or bring it back here to central Mississippi.

I loved going to TC in Jackson Miss. However, I think the Saints may take this opportunity to go to San Diego.
