It seems like it didn’t become an important stat until Drew Brees’ deep pass began declining. Carr’s 657 air yards is currently 9th though. 1 spot ahead of Purdy, 2 spots ahead of Mahomes, 3 spots ahead of Hurts, and 20 yards less than Herbert.

Big 3’s also on pace for nearly 1000 yards each right now. Olave’s yards and recs probably comes down some as Kamara and the TEs get involved in receiving more. Mike Thomas clears 1k easily if he remains on pace for 88-100+ recs. His yards per catch should increase by a 1.5+ yards from 9.6 to around 11 during the rest of the season.

I love this and how great our WRs are but I have to take the opportunity to remind everyone Devery Henderson averaged 17.9 ypc over his career.

I think it happened last game. They just abandoned the run game for a while when Williams went out. I don't know how much it helped in pass pro, but it took pressure off Carr and helped him not get hit as much, when they decided to run it again.

Saints have 4 out of 5 players in this category with MT13 holding down the #1 spot by a number that may never be broken. The sweet part is that Chris Olave can still climb the board.
