As most of you know, I'm the owner of Xonicwave. We provide small and medium sized companies complete IT solutions. From system administration, help desk to Project Management. I do a lot of the business consulting and then we tie it to technology.

If you or someone you know owns a business between 5 and 100 employees, please let them know about Xonicwave. I have been looking for a reason to open an office in New Orleans and it only takes two clients for me to do that. My goal is to have enough clients there and in Baton Rouge to provide 5 people with jobs. We currently have offices in San Diego, Orange County, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and soon to be Phoenix. We also handle clients from Hawaii to the UK (just closed our first International client last week) remotely. ALL employees are located here in the US. My full-time gig is working for my father (until he retires shortly & I take over.) He owns the ServiceMaster franchises in Houma, residential and commercial. We do everything from residential disaster restoration (fire and water), residential floor work, to post-construction clean up. Our bread and butter is on-going commercial work. I own and manage a flavor manufacturing/blending company, Parasol Flavors LLC. This thread is a good idea.

I've got a few restaurants in Starkville, MS (Mississippi State University). They are Bin 612 (www.bin612.net), Rock Bottom Bar & Grill (www.bin612.net/rockbottom) and Restaurant Tyler (www.restauranttyler.com). Check out the website www.tythames.com and links are available to all.

Bin 612 is an Italian bistro with a great patio for drinking and people watching, Rock Bottom is a gourmet hamburger bar and Restaurant Tyler is an upscale dining restaurant featuring a strong emphasis on Mississippi/Louisiana products that will be opening in 5 weeks. This thread is a great idea. I am curious as to why no one posts in it anymore. I am sure that new people have joined with businesses. I would like to hear from any members who own businesses in the Lafayette area. I would be more than happy to patronize them

I do not own a business but my uncle does. He has been open for 20 years and does a lot of work in the state as well as Houston. It is Reynolds Investigation and the number is 337-856-7728. Just let him know you heard about them from his nephew Robert.
 
I just started a little side business to make a little extra money for two reason:
1.) I work for the state and won't be getting a raise until at least 2012
2.) My wife works for the parish and her hours were cut

So, to try and get some spending money, I started designing shirts and things on cafepress.

A family member has just started a lawn service and landscaping business. It is called Lawn Service & Upkeep. They are licensed and insured.
