The total opposite from ours. They produce victories for the Chiefs.

Coach O'Dea worked for years with Dave Toub (former of the Bears, now the Chiefs Coach).

If we want to do something with these last games, Sean Payton should give the keys to the unit to Coach O'Dea, no questions asked.

After working with the master, he should have better concepts then old MacMahon. Bringing John Carney to teach Lutz would not be a bad idea also.

Those stats, compared to league averages, are unreal.
In every category, he's WAY above the league average.
Yes, salivating.

Lateral movements aren't that common. But we could absolutely grab Brock Olivo, their special teams assistant coach.

He's saying Kevin O'Dea, who is now our special teams...uh....specialist, coached with the guy responsible for the Chiefs and should be given the reins over McMahan.

Why WE Still Have THE Same Players SO It Wouldn't MAKE A Difference

It got me thinking about nepotism in football...

except for Jeff Fisher staying with the Rams... Aside from Sean Payton, who else in the league is as hard headed as CSP with their nepotism in assistant coaches.

I see Andy Reid coach consistently well. And it got me thinking, yea most coaches do and the ones the don't, try to fix it immediately.

I love CSP, but I can't think of another team who has had such a historically bad unit in football and refused to make any changes. Greg McMahon, Bill Johnson, Joe Vitt, Dennis Allen.... I just don't see these guys being hired by any other team in the league. We've seen what they can do. Aspiring to be average is embarrassing. We've had the worst defense in NFL history going on about 3 years straight, and our special teams have been atrocious for the last half-decade. Any other team would have cut-bait

Bill Johnson was hired and in such demand as one of the top DL coaches it took Payton 3 Different tries to get him here. He is only slammed on this board. Dennis Allen was a very successful defensive backs coach that was a good enough D.C. In Denver to be hired as head coach in Oakland st a time that franchise had less talent than just about any other NFL team. Allen was torched in the media, but his teams played hard, were never out coached and played well over their heads. The successful Raiders team now bears no resemblance to the team Allen had in the late days of the cryptkeeper. As far as Vitt, he is Payton's yoga, a guy who knows just about everything about football. He also hasn't been the hands on coach for the linebackers in a couple years now. Now McMahon I have no idea there.

Watching Andy Reid surge as a great coach when given great talent makes me weary when ALOT of people want Payton gone after when we spent the last two years with 65+ million dollars of dead money. We should be 4-28 with that dead money count.

Brees.

Although they have done a good job at picking up mediocre talent and making something of them.

They are getting the best out of what they have. The concerning thing to me though: What makes everyone so sure that this F.O. will be able to put a contender together with free cap space when they've signed so many bad contracts recently?

It's like handing a blank check to someone with a gambling problem.

Because we've made just as many good signings perhaps? Fairley, Robertson, Kevin Williams, Stupar, bringing back Evans, Sterling Moore, BW Webb, and Erik Harris. Also and when our drafting process hit rock bottom, we changed it and now our last two drafts have been beyond excellent.

I'm sure you could throw in the Spiller and Laurinaitis moves. But the team they've built is trending up. Hell, who is the worst player we drafted in 2016? Daniel Lasco who has been hurt for four weeks straight? David Onyemata, even though he's been playing heavy snaps as a raw, unpolished Canadian import? Because Rankins, Thomas, and Bell look like they could be future Pro-Bowlers.

If we hit like that again next year, this team could be set up to win beyond Brees' eventual retirement, whenever that is.

Watching Tyrek Hill last night ... muffed a punt and subsequent turnover. Then on his next opportunity he runs a punt back for a TD.

I wonder if he would be on the bench by now if he played in NO (due to muff)?
