MOBILE -- It has been a long road to prove himself as a football player for Dantrell Savage.
From his beginnings in Columbus, Ga., to a two-year stint in Perkinston to two years in Stillwater, Okla., Savage's journey could be well worth it, and could land him in the NFL, thanks to an invitation this week to impress NFL scouts and coaches at the Senior Bowl in Mobile.
"Coming out of high school in Columbus to Mississippi, it was basically a change for me, but a change for the best. It helped me learn a lot before going to Oklahoma State," Savage said. "I have been going from school to school, meeting people and learning many different things that will help me in the future."
