Scary thought: how do you defend Taysom packages when Drew comes back? (1 Viewer)

In that situation, where you are pulling Brees to insert Taysom, odds are it's going to be a run play. You don't take out your best passer for a designed passing play (unless it's a trick of some sorts)

I think so, but he's passing well enough that you have that option and defenses will have to be paying attention. They can't just stack the box and dare to pass anymore, imo.

I'm not following what this has to do with Brees coming back. That's just the offense when TH is your QB, full stop. That's what makes him so dangerous as a QB, and why seeing him being able to pass with pretty good accuracy will really start to open things up for AK and LM.

Denver is going to have to account for TH's passing ability, most of the first half will be ground and pound forcing the defense in, and the second half TH strikes again through the air. Pretty much the exact opposite of last week, when Atlanta opened up with heavy run defense, and the "oh crap he can pass" response opening up the ground game.

Because teams now have to spend the entire week preparing for Drew AND a full playbook of TH.

Before, TH’s playbook was limited. Payton made a comment the other day about how the world hadn’t seen what they do in practice with TH. That means the film other teams had to study when he was in the game was limited.

Not anymore.
