Total dead being reported as at least 5, three kids and to adults. They're not sure if one of the adults is the shooter, who's confirmed dead.

Press conference on now. Seven total dead, including the shooter, who appears to be a teenage girl armed with two assault rifles and a handgun.

Oh most definitely...but all we can do is discuss the same arguments that have been beaten all to death...the same people from the same sides will dig in their heels...nothing constructive will ever get done, some borderline insane ideas will get floated..."arming janitors" or something...and we'll be right back here (in another thread) 6 months from now.

THere's something genuinely wrong with humanity where anyone can get to a point where they need to go put bullets in children because they're not happy with their own lives. If anything maybe we need to come up with an extreme suicide TikTok challenge where those folks get together and come up with ways to kill just themselves dramatically and as graphic as possible. At least they'd only hurt themselves.

and people will say the cause of this is anything other than too many people who have too easy access to too many guns

and those same people will say the solution is anything other than make it harder for people to get guns

Bulletproof backbacks and chalkboards have been suggested

A teenager with 2 assault rifles.
blanke'd up part is that they were probably legally purchased. Crazy how a teenager can legally buy an AR, but can't buy a pistol. I just don't get how this makes any kinds of sense to anyone.

Kudos to the PD for their quick response...at least they went in and got the job done...bout the only "positive" from today.

In these situations, they're almost always legally purchased.

Because the gun purchasing laws are a large part of the problem.
