New Orleans Saints rookie Michael Thomas has made some sensational plays this summer, but for the most part, his teammates have been the ones praising the wide receiver publicly.
Thomas, a second-round pick, has been extremely humble while discussing his performance in his first training camp, and coach Sean Payton has been quick to point out some ways in which Thomas needs to improve, like trying to catch everything with two hands instead of making impressive one-handed grabs.
NFL teams sometimes temper public expectations for rookies, hoping to avoid the arrogance that can beset young players, but Payton said Tuesday that's not the case with Thomas.
