4th down on 4 in a few minutes.

I'll do my best at a recap.

Willie Whitehead:

Didn't care who they played, just anxious to get on field.

Garcia's Eagles are different that McNabb's Eagles. He's "electrifying". Remembers playing Garcia in Canada and believes Garcia is still the same, electric player he's always been.

Eagles are on a roll. Tough to beat a hot team.

Should be fun to play against Stallworth and Howard. Expects alot of trash talking. Should be exciting. Feels those 2 will play with something to prove.

Westbrooks is a great athlete. Main thing in this game may be to stop the run.

More to come.

More Willie:

This years team alot different that team's past. Payton preaches accountability. He's very straight up.

Payton handles the role of "Strict Disciplinarian" very well. He knows when to draw the line.

Biggest difference between this year and 2000 team is the players. Better character. More established winners. More of a fire to win. 2000 was just happy to make it, 2006 believes they are a Super Bowl team.

This bye approach is better than the earlier bye. Believes this approach will have them better prepared.

Whitehead finished, Sean P next.

nice recap. Waiting for the coach.

Great Whitehead recap... Thanks

Thanks. I agree, great recap. Can't wait to see what Sean P. says.

Sean P:

His coaching interview was a "whirlwind". Putting together his presentation, impressing the FO, etc...

Had to educate himself on the region while educating himself with the team preparing for his interview.

Approach was to keep players who gave them the best chance to win. Players that show character and fight gives you better chances to win than just players with talent.

Never set an age limit for when he wanted to be head coach. Expected to be a college coach for 10 years but couldn't turn the NFL offer down.

Believes his family is more impressed with the job he's done this season than his friends.

Kids doing well in school. Doesn't think they are the "most popular" just because of him.

Tough to miss his kids events (plays, soccer games).

It's easy for him to be a coach at work, and a father at home.

No surprising characteristics about him. Believes he is a regular guy.

More to come.

Very personal interview so far. I believe the football questions are up next. BTW, I never knew Sean P's wife was very easy on the eyes. :)

I think Eagles will be watching The Ravens tape more than the Redskins game, The Ravens is more Significant to what is going on now, coming out of a bye, heads (possibly) on cloud 9 and will be rusty for the first half giving them the opertunity to put points on the board as quick as possible and then allow Saints to play catch up, in the mean time Run the ball, run clock down, control clock and ultimately win the game..

Hopefully Saints are Better Prepared than the last bye like they all say and they come out with the Mentality of a pack of Angry Elephants that is protecting it's Domain.

More Payton:

Word association...
Parcells: Good coach
Lester Panthers (team he used to coach): Good experience to get started.
FireSeanPayton.com: Sean didn't know about it. Laughed at it pretty well. Doesn't pay attention to that stuff. "At some point for every coach, it becomes a serious website"

Doesn't get motivated by people who believe the Saints bubble will burst soon. Team success after hard work is what motivates him.

Believes players know signifigance of success in playoffs for New Orleans region.

Every now and then, he does get visions of a Super Bowl appearance in his head. It's exciting. Knows how tough it is to make it seeing as he was an assistant with the Giants when they made it. It's an exciting time for him.

If I weren't a coach, I'd probably be in business.

That's it. Sean P is very humble. Onto Saturday!!!

Thanx for the Recap.. surprised they didn't air it on the live stream on the site.
