SP was asked about the food in New Orleans and he responded, "I think it's overrated. Too rich for me. Too much going on. Too spicy. I'm more of a plain meat and potatoes guy myself. Next question."

Edit: This info came from Lawn Guy Dave so take it with a grain of salt. Or Tony's.

Wondering if he is upset with Mickey or Saints. He is bashing NOLA food (when he raved about it when he was here), publicly mocking the CJGJ trade and raiding all the young coordinators immediately.

Y’all are obsessed with this man.

He’s old. Everyone knows old people can’t handle spicy foods - especially when all the Vicodin he took probably tore a hole in his stomach. Anything not bland probably gives his geriatric azzz diarrhea.

Next question.
Great point. Something I hadn't thought about. Makes a lot of sense.

Yep. It’s time for the janitor to leak the story about Dennis Lauscha & Mickey firing him for his stunts with Miami so everyone can just move on.

He sounds like a bitter ex that used to claim you were the best sex he ever had - until you dump them & now it’s trash.

Since we're doing this, here's a trip down memory lane I stumbled upon and could have done without. Things change, though, I understand that...

“I’ve said this before, and I understand the interest and certainly the skepticism if you will, but this is where I plan on coaching and I don’t envision myself ever coaching for any other club,” Sean Payton said during his opening lines. You could just tell by the look in his eye (a look I haven’t seen from him in a long time) that coaching another team was never even a thought.

[...]

“This is where I want to be. I mean you’re here not because we are here long enough, but we built something and created something. I think in the beginning it was a lot more than football, and maybe that is what separates it, because it wasn’t just about wins and losses in 2006.”

Sean Payton is attached to the city of New Orleans.

Really makes you wonder, what changed? Aside from Brees retiring and the cap being wrecked. Did Mickey get in his feelings when he found out SP was stepping out on him with Miami? We've seen times when someone steps down only to find out years later that they were pushed out the door or things became toxic.

I said exactly this in the “Sean Payton wasn’t gonna coach here forever” thread. Like oh really?

I think he was told to leave. Doing sneaky ish and continuing to get caught and year after year putting the team at risk of consequences for your stupid actions because you think you’re smarter than everyone else.
