New Orleans Saints Coach Sean Payton said he doesn't have a specific candidate already targeted for the team's new defensive coordinator vacancy. And he said that he, General Manager Mickey Loomis and the rest of the organization will take their time studying the best options available before making a hire.

The last two times Payton switched defensive coordinators, he immediately and aggressively targeted a replacement - first Gregg Williams, then Steve Spagnuolo.

However, Payton said Thursday night that, "this one's different," now that the team is making a more dramatic philosophical change from a 4-3 system to a 3-4 system.
