I'm asking for prayers from the SR.com community.

We're going through a very trying time at the moment.

My mother's taken a sharp decline over the last few months, due to Dementia.

Anyone who has gone through this knows what I'm talking about. Watching a loved one turn into a complete stranger is almost too much to bear, and it changes you forever.

Think about us in your prayers, if you can, thanks.

Know the feeling. Went through it with my father four years ago. The one thing to never forget, even though they might not remember you, they value your time, companionship and support.

going through it with dad now
we moved them into a managed care facility and that just seemed to accelerate the process so now he'll probably have to go to memory care - it's hard making decisions when there's not a good one
i feel bad for dad and feel worse for my mom

anyway all peace and strength to you and your family navigating these troubled waters

I “liked” the post because I appreciate you sharing with us. Take advantage of the time you have to spend with her. Hold on to who you know she is. Keep us posted. Warm cyber hug and prayers for you and your family. 🙏🏽

All too familiar. Had my grandmother and an uncle (her brother, actually) in the same nursing home at the same time with Alzheimer's. So, prayers indeed to you and your family.
